Project 10 - Two Portraits


I took this photo at the Louvre in Paris, France. I took this photo from the side angle of the woman running to catch the bubbles. To professionalize the photo, I edited the photo in light room using the auto filter. This made the photo less saturated and have a higher exposure. 


I took this photo when I was at the Wax Museum in London. I used light room to adjust 
the lighting of the photo to make it look more professional. I also adjusted the tilt of the 
photo to make the angle of the photo not sideways.


This is my mandarin teacher that I took a photo of to advertise the staff in Lincoln. I took her picture under a semi-dark area, so I used light room and adjusted the lighting of the photo. Then I exported and imported it to photoshop and pasted text to promote Lincoln. I also used a quote from her and one that I believe in. 


This commercial cover is for promoting vitamin water. I decided to choose a side view of Cate
drinking the vitamin water because it promotes the point of the product. I also made up a question
that I thought would be on a commercial advertising for drinks. The barcode that I added was a touch
up to simulate the format of a magazine cover.

Photographers use contact sheets to show the evolution of their photos. The idea of the sheet helps people identify what the original photo looked like, so they can see the change that the photographer went through in editing and making a new version of the original. The edits used in the contact sheet was all made in Adobe Lightroom.

Project 8- Alternate process prework Lumen Prints and Cyanotype prework

First you need to arrange physical subjects on your paper until you get the desired arrangement. Then, you need to cover your subject with a piece of glass, while making sure that your subjects are flat on the pieces of paper. After placing your glass on, place it outside and make sure that it is directly pointing towards the sun. It is best to complete this process when there is UV light (sunlight) as it is what creates the image. Make sure to monitor your photo and tape your photo to the ground as it absorbs the sunlight. Once the print has been developed by the sun make sure to take it out and bleach it then wash.
