Project 13 - Utopia/Distopia Pre-work

What is Utopia?
Utopia is an idealistic situation, where everything follows a plan, almost like a perfect society.

What is Dystopia?
Dystopia is a place that is a place or imagined state that is very bad and typically one that is undesirable or frightening.

Here's the PlanThere was a perfect schedule that the fox's created and said they would follow. At the beginning, everything was very happy because the design was very colorful.However, the plan does not go as plan, which portrays a dystopian mood. When the plan failed, the color of the setting was very dark and gloomy. 
Hunger GamesUtopia is portrayed when Katniss and Pita arrive in the city that presents a utopia feeling. The city is very clean and has many tall buildings that are more advanced in technology. People living in the utopia part of society all expressed happiness through there actions and facial expressions. The dystopia is portrayed through how people lived in sections and that everyone was separated. The colors of sector 13 were very dark and grim. Everyone was had facial expressions that made it seem they were very tired and tortured.  

The Purge






- Unemployment is at 1%, world is reborn into perfect society. Crime is illegal. The Utopia world in this film is presented that everything is perfect in society. Nobody commits crimes and everyone is employed.- annual purge (every illegal thing is legal)
The dystopia part about this film is that there is annual purge, which means that murder is legal. The purge lasts for 12 hours and those are the darkest and undesirable points in society.

Project 8- Alternate process prework Lumen Prints and Cyanotype prework

First you need to arrange physical subjects on your paper until you get the desired arrangement. Then, you need to cover your subject with a piece of glass, while making sure that your subjects are flat on the pieces of paper. After placing your glass on, place it outside and make sure that it is directly pointing towards the sun. It is best to complete this process when there is UV light (sunlight) as it is what creates the image. Make sure to monitor your photo and tape your photo to the ground as it absorbs the sunlight. Once the print has been developed by the sun make sure to take it out and bleach it then wash.
