Reflections of 1st Semester

Image
I learned about different types of photography such as underwater, micro, landscape, portrait, etc. I feel like this semester has gone really well because I learned a lot more techniques on how to create the image I am really looking for. I really enjoy taking photos with a shallow and deep depth of field. My favorite project would have to be project 5 because I was able to learn all the parts of the camera and get a better understanding on how to use them. I especially felt connected to Cody Cobb's work, who is a landscape photographer that captures the stillness of nature. I really enjoy taking those kinds of photos and his photos were just amazing. For next semester I'm excited to work more with photoshop and create better quality images. I'm also very excited to improve on my picture taking skills as well as photo editing. This was a great semester!

Project #5 - Basic PS and Camera Controls

In project 5, we played around with different camera controls and different photoshopping methods. We took photos for a deep depth of field, shallow depth of field, motion blur, and frozen motion. We edited these photos to portray a certain mood and to fulfill our own aesthetics. It was very fun playing around with different editing tools and shooting for different types of photos.
